$1,000,000 NEW FACILITY, SHOWROOM AND OFFICE SPACE – Prominent Naming Opportunity
Bread of the Mighty (BMFB) currently occupies 20,000 square feet. A new facility would increase
our space to 100,000 square feet which means we could triple the assistance we provide to the
community ~ from 7.4 million pounds of food annually to 20+ million pounds.
$100,000 REFRIGERATOR TRUCK – Naming Opportunity - City of Gainesville & the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners
Additional refrigerated transport vehicles would allow BMFB to provide more than just dry goods to our
170+ agency partners. With new refrigerator trucks, we can increase the delivery of produce and meat
to our five county service area which currently includes six (6) schools.
$100,000 SCHOOL PANTRY PROGRAM – Naming Opportunity
We’re seeking funding to increase the support we provide to schools in our five county service area. Currently, we serve six (6) schools in need. There's a great need to increase our School Pantry locations. With additional underwriting, we could easily increase that number to 15+. BMFB currently providesall of the funding for this program. An underwriter would help defer the cost from BMFB and allow us to do more to help feed children in our community.
$120,000 (3) REFRIGERATOR VANS – Naming Opportunity
A new refrigerator van (est. cost $40,000 x 3) would allow BMFB to deliver, along with dry goods,
specific meats and produce to the schools in need throughout our five county service area.
$90,000 (estimated cost) ~ FACILITY REPAIR (NEW ROOF)
BMFB’s current facility, the roof is in great disrepair. A total replacement is needed to reduce the constant leaks and water issues the existing roof is causing to an already old facility.
$40,000 REFRIGERATOR VAN – Naming Opportunity
A new refrigerator van (est. cost for one - approx. $40,000) would allow BMFB to deliver, along with dry goods, specific meats, dairy and produce to the schools in need throughout our five county service area. Another transport vehicle would allow us to increase the number of schools we currently serve.
$20,000 - 25,000 FORK LIFT - NEW
A new fork lift would assist in moving donated product in the warehouse that’s picked up daily from local distribution centers.
$15,000 FORK LIFT - USED
A used fork lift would assist in moving donated product in the warehouse that’s picked up daily from local distribution centers.
$9,000 PALLET JACKS
A total of nine (9) pallet jacks (approx. $1,000 each)are needed. This includes one (1) for each truck in our fleet of BMFB vehicles AND three (3) to assist in the warehouse.
$5,400 REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER UNITS FOR SCHOOL PANTRY PROGRAM (est. $900 per unit)
Thank you Publix Super Market Charities for providing six (6) schools with refrigerator/freezer units in our five county service area. There's a great need to increase sites for our School Pantry Program. As new locations are secured, additional refrigerator/freezer units will be needed to accommodate the cold/frozen items. Purchasing equipment is ongoing as we add sites to this program.

Through the generosity of the City of
Gainesville and the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners, BMFB was able to obtain grant funding to underwrite the cost
of a refrigerated transport vehicle(*).
(*) Due to the age and maintenance for our current vehicles, we'll continue to seek funding to replace additional trucks.
